Staff could not have been more helpful; very accommodating, very good one-way system and seating policy/hygiene stations in place. Food was excellent. “Absolutely fabulous meals. We went for a meal at lunchtime. Two of us had the carvery (amazing!), 1 had fish and chips, lovely light batter and plenty of great white fish (gorgeous!) and another had steak pie and was literally drooling about it the rest of the day! So good we’ve booked again for Friday night. Would certainly recommend this pub and restaurant. Just yummy!!”

“Can’t praise this pub enough! We went in awful weather with our two dogs and the minute we walked in we felt better! The staff were amazing and so was the food. They really welcome dogs too and that matters to us. We enjoyed every minute and a lovely lady gave us great directions too. There were bad floods in the area and we would never have known which route to take without her! We are already planning another visit. Thank you for a lovely lunch and a great welcome”.

“Arrived here for something to eat on impulse on the way back from visiting family. Despite the blessed distancing we have to abide with for now, it felt cosy and welcoming. We were waited on by Katharine, who guided us towards the fish and chips, and boy were we rewarded. Excellent size portion and beautiful fish. We probably, and sadly, may not come here again – but if you are it is definitely worth a visit. Recommended”.

“Went on a Tuesday evening as staying locally. Lovely pub with pleasant atmosphere and great friendly staff. We both had the carvery which was superb. We are somewhat fussy eaters but both cleared our plates with not a scrap left. Meats, baked potatoes and veg all perfectly cooked. Well done to the chef and all at a great price.
